Transport radio channel opens
VGP – To ease traffic jam in Hồ Chí Minh City, it requires more solutions and initiatives to control and manage transport and the debut of the transport channel of the Voice of Việt Nam (VOV) is an essential step, stated PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng made the
statement this morning while attending the launching ceremony of the VOV transport
channel on FM 91MHz in Hồ Chí Minh City.

Through the channel, the
audience can access to updated information about the city’s transport, even
traffic jams, thanks to a system of 200 wireless cameras and VOV reporters.
The VOV Transport has been piloted since December 15, 2009 before being officially broadcast today, with the coverage of 300 km in Hồ Chí Minh City and its surrounding provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, PM
Dũng asserted that, in order mitigate traffic jams in big cities, especially Hồ
Chí Minh City, it is necessary to update transport planning schemes and strongly
invest in transport infrastructure.
