Trade promotion to expand export

VNGOP- The 18th International Trade Fair in Việt Nam (Việt Nam Expo 2008) held in Hà Nội on April 9-13 will provide both Vietnamese and foreign enterprises opportunities to exploit cooperation, survey the Vietnamese market demand, sign export contracts, and effectively popularize their goods.

Vice State President Nguyễn Thị Doan drops in a stall in the Fair
The fair, under the theme “Việt Nam – Integration and Development”, collects 700 stalls of over 500 enterprises from 15 countries and territories to display their products, technologies and services, including machines, technical equipment, garments, footwear, medicines, electric and electronic products, telecommunications, construction machines and materials, and transportation.
According to Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyễn Thành Biên, trade promotion and market expansion are useful measures to increase Việt Nam’s exports. Việt Nam Expo 2008 also opens the door for enterprises to penetrate in not only domestic but also foreign markets.

At the fair, businesses can directly sign export contracts with their partners instead of spending time and money for working tours and trade promotion activities abroad.
As many foreign trade and investment promotion agencies took part in the Expo, Vietnamese counterparts have good chances to gain experience of assisting enterprises’ export-oriented activities.
As part of the Expo, for the first time, the debut of an online trade exhibition was made at www.tradeshow.com.vn.
