Tra fish fair to be held in October
VGP – A tra fish and Vietnamese seafood product fair will take place from October 6-8 in Ha Noi, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The fair promotes the brand name of tra fish products, expands the export markets, and showcases Viet Nam’s major seafood products.
The event is expected to attract over 100 booths of domestic and foreign enterprises, showcasing seafood products such as tra fish, value added products and auxiliary products for tra fish production and other key Vietnamese seafood items.
Deputy general director of Directorate of Fisheries Tran Dinh Luan said the tra fish products exhibited at this fair must be fully labeled and the origin should be easy to trace.
The fisheries directorate will support to expand distribution channels to consumers via wholesale and retail centres in the north, thereby boosting sales in the potential domestic market of 92 million people, he added.
In addition, three main events will take place - a workshop on tra fish production and consumption, an exhibition with over 100 booths and a cuisineprogramme introducing dishes made from tra fish.
Special dishes made with Tra fish prepared by well-known chefs will also be introduced at the fair.
