Differences in economics and politics among big countries have impacted other countries including Viet Nam. Difficulties and limitations especially natural disasters and diseases have influenced socio-economic development and people’s lives.

However, thanks to the growth trend in 2018, the socio-economic performance in early 2019 attained positive outcomes. The economic growth was positive, macro-economy was stable, big balances were ensured. The investment and business environment was better.

The fields of culture, society, education, healthcare, labor, employment and social security attained achievements. National defense and security were safeguarded. Diplomatic operation and international economic integration acquired important achievements.

According to the top legislator, 2019 is a year of significance for the fulfillment of the five-year socio-economic development (2016-2020).
