Top 10 cultural, sport, and tourism events in 2017 announced
VGP – The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (MoCST) announced Top 10 cultural, sport, and tourism events in 2017.

Following is the list of the events:
1. Xoan singing and the art of Bai Choi were added to the UNESCO as the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
2. Viet Nam’s image shines in the film “Kong: Skull island.
3. Overriding impression on “Russian Cultural Days in Viet Nam.
4. The successful performance of the Vietnamese sport delegation at SEA Games 29.
5. Vietnamese female football team was crowned SEA Games champions for the fifth time.
6. Impressive achievement of Vietnamese track and fields.
7. The Record growth in number of foreign visitors.
8. 2017 Law on Tourism was adopted to bolster tourism development.
9. The Politburo approved a Resolution on developing tourism into the country’s spearhead economic sector.
10. Vietnamese tourism sector won many prestigious awards of the United Nations World Tourism Organization
Earlier, the MoCST selected 64 dossiers from ministerial and local agencies to make the final decision on the Top 10 events.
This was the first time, the ministry conducted a survey online at website http://sukienvhttdl.bvhttdl.
Especially, on January 9, the MoCST invited 150 reporters to vote for the Top 10 in which the recognition of Xoan singing and the art of Bai Choi got the highest selection with 126 votes./.
