To build Vũng Áng, Hà Tĩnh Prov., a multi-sectoral economic complex by 2025

March 15, 2007 7:01 AM GMT+7

Vũng Áng Economic Zone

According to the Decision, with an area for urban and industrial construction of 10,000 ha, the Vũng Áng Economic Zone will become an economic complex of industrial, trading, service, tourist, agricultural, fishery and forestry activities, focusing on metallurgy to exploit available materials; seaport industries, labor-intensive industries; and industries for export. The Zone will have its own operation statutes. Its technical infrastructure is planned and built up to meet the development requirements, in line with standards of technique, landscape, safety and environmental hygiene.

Under the Master Planning Scheme, the Vũng Áng Economic Zone consists of two functional sub-zone: tariff and non-tariff. The fenced non-tariff quarter is linked with a part of the Vũng Áng Seaport and controlled by competent bodies. It is reserved for recycling production, trade, trading services and promotion. The tariff quarter include civil areas, ports, industrial parks, tourist and green areas, and specialized centers.
