Thừa Thiên-Huế is well-known as a great tourist center in Việt Nam, with numerous historical sites, cultural heritages as well as famous landscapes such as Huế Ancient Capital, Lăng Cô Beach, Hải Vân Pass, Bạch Mã National Park, and royal music. In addition, it is the biggest services hub in such fields as tourism, transport, finance, banking, and trade in the KERCV.
Thanks to its natural advantages and high competitiveness index (in 2007, Thừa Thiên-Huế ranked the 15th among 64 provinces nationwide), the province can attract a lot of FDI capital. Quite a few potential investors have been exploiting opportunities for business expansion there.
Sucking 67 licensed projects and over US $2.3 billion registered capital in the first three quarters, Thừa Thiên-Huế surpassed Đà Nẵng, Quảng Nam, Quảng Ngãi and Bình Định to become the top FDI attractor in KERCV.
