Three-day interpellation session begins at National Assembly

VGP – Government leaders, Minister of Finance, the Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam, Minister of Information and Communications, and the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court take part in the question and answer sessions from November 16-18.

Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung at the Q&A session

From 3:00 PM of November 16 to 10:00 AM of November 17, National Assembly deputies raised questions for the Governor of the State Bank of Viet Nam especially on the implementation of monetary policies to support production and credit growth, and measures to improve the banking sector’s performance and security.

From 10:00 AM of November 17, under the chair of NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the NA deals with the third Q&A group which is on technology application serving administrative reform, particularly e-governance, and State management of press and communications. Minister of Information and Communication Truong Minh Tuan will be responsible for responding the third Q&A group.

Finally, the Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court  will respond to the fourth Q&A group involving  the improvement of judicial activities, particularly in civil, financial and corruption cases, and of court personnel capacity to fulfill legislative reform.

Earlier, from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM of November 16, a series of questions were given to Minister of Finance Dinh Tien Dung particularly on the management of taxation, customs, and public debts.  

At the end of the first Q&A session, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan assessed that the Financial Minister responded to all questions. However, some questions have yet provided new and breaking solutions especially on public debts, tax management, management of invoices. 

The top legislator recommended the Government, the Minister of Finance, and relevant ministries and agencies to collect comments to make drastic instructions; focus on administrative reform and IT application; modernize tax and customs management./.
