Three more European tourists confirmed having coronavirus, total rises to 57

VGP - The Ministry of Health has just confirmed three more COVID-19 infection cases in Viet Nam, bringing the total in the nation to 57.

They are one German and two British who arrived in Viet Nam on different flights over the past week.

The German man, aged 35, was on flight VN0018 from France to Noi Bai International Airport on Saturday morning. He tested positive for the virus on the same day.

Meanwhile, one British national, aged 30, flew from the UK to Viet Nam on March 9. After entering Viet Nam, he stayed at Ha Noi Paradise Center Hotel for one night before having 4-day tour to Sapa in Lao Cai Province.

On March 13, he returned to Ha Noi and stayed at Oriental Suiter in Hang Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District. The Hang  Dao Ward People's Committee updated information and decided to quarantine him.

Diagnosis result on March 14 showed that he was positive for the virus.

Both of them are being treated at Campus No. 2 of the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District, Ha Noi.

The other British patient is a 66-year old man who was passenger on flight VN0054 from London to Ha Noi on March 9, being treated in the central province of Quang Nam.

Of the total patients confirmed so far, 16 had been cured and exited hospitals. All the rest have been reported since March 6.

The current 41 patients include 17 foreign nationals (one German, one Latvian, one Czech, one Irish, and 13 British)./.
