Three items join US$20 bln export club

VGP – As of September 15, three groups of items joined the US$20 billion export club, two more groups than the same period last year, according to the Viet Nam Customs.

With the total export value of nearly US$75.6 billion, the three groups of items contributed around 45% of the nation’s total export value. 

The three biggest groups included phones and accessories (US$34.4 billion), garment and textiles (US$21.1 billion) and computers, electronics and spare parts (US$20.25 billion). 

As of the mid-September, the exports of garments and textiles and computers, electronics and spare parts set a record of exceeding US$20 billion. 

Comparing with the same period last year, the exports of garments and textiles and computers, electronics and spare parts witnessed increases of US$3.042 billion and US$2.96 billion, or 17% and 17.1%, respectively. 

With the total export value of nearly US$75.6 billion, the three groups of items contributed around 45% of the nation’s total export value.
