Three Vietnamese companies listed in Retail Top 500

VNGOP – According to the Việt Nam's Commercial Office in Japan, a ceremony was held on October 11 in Tokyo to confer the “Retail Asia-Pacific Top 500” titles. Among the winners are three Vietnamese companies: SAIGON.CO.OP; Sài Gòn Jewels and Gemstones Company, and the Sài Gòn Shopping Center.

A member of the Organizing Board, Mr. Steven HL Goh, Executive Director of the Retail Asia Magazine, highly praised Việt Nam’s recent economic development as well as the growth of retail business. He revealed that the three Vietnamese companies were awarded thanks to their effective management of shops, market information, customer services, logistics and human resource development.

Top 500 was awarded for the first time in 2004 in honor of top retail companies in 14 Asia-Pacific economies - Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Republic of Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan and Việt Nam. Three top companies from each economy would be granted with gold, silver and bronze prizes respectively.
