The Government acknowledged and lauded the material and spiritual support of individuals, organizations, and enterprises, overseas Vietnamese people and international friends for backing the flood victims to surmount their difficulties, overcome the damages, restore production, and stabilize daily life.

The Government requests ministries and localities to work with each other; instruct rescue forces, local authorities and residents to early search for missing persons; visit and console victim families and provide them with relief aid; mobilize forces and means to supply food to victims in isolated areas; take measures to surmount bad consequences of floods, repair socio-economic infrastructure, keep the environment clean, prevent possible epidemic outbreaks, stabilize production and life of local people, raise capacity of rescue forces in case of other natural disasters and minimize the loss in the principle of “Taking precautionary action, adapting to challenges for development.” The Ministry of Construction is assigned to play as main implementer and work with relevant sectors to propose a program on housing in regions and localities vulnerable to natural disasters and climate change, and early submit it to the Prime Minister for decision.
