"Viet Nam We Thank You" is a campaign initiated a couple of days ago by Wayne Worrell, an English teacher who have been living in Viet Nam for 10 years.

Worrell, aged 54, and other 25 foreigners sent thanks to Vietnamese health workers, military and police forces, and volunteers for their great efforts on the frontline against the COVID-19.

Worrell said he spent time staying at home to read news about Viet Nam's efforts in this fight. He got married to a Vietnamese woman and the couple have three children.

He wished to do something for Viet Nam and called on his friends to join this campaign which has been widely responded.

The respondents come from various countries like the UK, the US, Germany, South Africa, Portugal, India, Latvia among others. The majority of them are living in Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Lieu and Ben Tre.

The above South African woman wrote that: "Because of your strength... I was fearless... Humbly thankful and grateful.... Việt Nam cố lên!"

Worrell said he has been at home for the past 12 weeks and stayed awake until 5-6am to carry out his campaign with an aim to call on people regardless of their nationalities to stay united together.
