Thanh Hoa urban master scheme ratified
VGP – PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc has recently approved a master scheme on Than Hoa urban area (Thanh Hoa city) in Thanh Hoa province by 2040.
Accordingly, Thanh Hoa will become grade-one urban area in Thanh Hoa province.
The master scheme targets to raise the position and status of the Thanh Hoa urban area which will become a connectivity area among the North Central Region, the Red River Delta, the North West Region, and the North East Region of Laos.
The urban area will develop industries, services, trade, culture, tourism, history, ecology, put aside land for housing development and real estate market.
Under the planning, the area will have a total area of 232.64 km2 and a population of 435,300 people. Total population will reach about 635,000 by 2030 and 720,000 by 2040.
The planning also aims to review the previous master scheme which was passed in 2009 in accordance with practical development of Thanh Hoa city and Dong Son district./.
