The visit to Việt Nam was organized for representatives of 19 Thai businesses to get to know and seek investment opportunities in Việt Nam’s central coastal city, said Ms. Pannee Chengsuttha.

The guest enterprises are operating in various fields such as garment and textile, construction materials, food processing, healthcare, education, finance, and banking.

With outstanding comparative advantages and strategic position, Đà Nẵng is one of Thailand’s priority investment destinations, said Ms. Pannee Chengsuttha, adding that the Board has tried to boost cooperation between Đà Nẵng and Thailand’s localities.

Đà Nẵng-Thailand trade value in 2009 reached US $44.3 million. The city spent US $41.4 million importing raw materials, chemicals, synthetic rubber, semi-finished steel, garment and textile materials, petroleum products, and electronic goods from Thailand. Meanwhile, it exported seafood, coffee, wooden products, and handicrafts to the neighbor market.
