Thai Nguyen’s export turnover rockets

VGP – Thai Nguyen Province’s total export turnover jumped 41 steps, from the 47th place in 2013 to the 6th so far this year, among 63 cities and provinces nationwide.

According to the Viet Nam Customs, as of the end of July, the province earned US$2.682 billion from exporting.

The figure, much higher than the same period last year (only US$118 million), is thanks to the operation and exports of the Samsung Electronics Viet Nam.

As many as 14 cities and provinces announced the export turnover of more than US$1 billion, four ones higher than the same period last year.

Ho Chi Minh City ranked first with US$18.5 billion, followed by Bac Ninh Province US$13 billion, Binh Duong Province US$9.22 billion, Dong Nai Province US$7.377 billion, Ha Noi US$6.37 billion, Thai Nguyen Province US$2.268 billion, Bac Giang Province US$1.02 billion, Hung Yen Province US$1.26 billion and Tay Ninh Province US$1.12 billion.
