Thai Binh economic zone established

VGP - The People’s Committee of Thai Binh province on January 3 announced the PM’s decision on the establishment of Thai Binh Economic Zone.

January 04, 2018 2:19 PM GMT+7

The Thai Binh Economic Zone has a total area of 31,000 hectares in 30 communes and one town in the districts of Thai Thuy and Tien Hai.

It comprises different functions including industrial cluster, port and port service areas, tourism site, and coastal service-trade-urban area. Investors in the zone will receive incentives in line with the Government’s policy.

Once coming into operation, the economic zone will open up a new gateway for Thai Binh and surrounding provinces; tap potentials in labor, land fund, land and natural gas resources, convenient transport networks and natural mining.

Speaking at the decision announcement ceremony, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hong Dien said this was a very important event, marking the first step of formation and development of the Thai Binh Economic Zone.

The zone is expected to contribute significantly to the province’s socio-economic development in the future./.
