Together with the building of a new factory, THACO will also develop a new high-end bus line of Vietnamese brand, with a localization rate of over 60%, using Euro 4 engines and having the configuration and functions in line with traffic conditions and the Government’s regulations on transportation, aiming to meet the needs of customers and exports to ASEAN countries.

In 2014, the Government approved and issued the strategy and master plan for Viet Nam’s automobile industry development through 2025, with a vision toward 2035, with the objective of developing the automobile industry into a key industry that creates an important driver for the cause of national industrialization and modernization.

Implementing the strategy and master plan, Viet Nam’s automobile industry has obtained a number of significant outcomes over the past few years. The total automobile production and assemble reached over 460,000 cars per year, including a variety of categories of cars, trucks and buses.

Annually, the automobile industry contributes billions of U.S. dollars to the State budget and helps to create jobs for hundreds of thousands of direct laborers.
