Answer: Under Article 15, Decree 21/2001/ND-CP of 2001detailing the Implementation of the Ordinance on Entry, Exit and Residence of Foreigners, foreigners who stay overnight at private houses of local people shall have personally or through house owners to make temporary residence declaration with the police offices of wards or communes where they temporarily reside.
The ward or commune police offices shall have to transfer the contents of temporary residence declaration by foreigners to the immigration management bodies under the police offices of the provinces or centrally-run cities.
In your case, the house owner has to guide your husband to declare temporary residence at the police office. Your husband has to present his personal information including passport and visa for the declaration./.
