Teaching IT for handicapped

VGP – Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm has just agreed that Văn Lang University will carry out the project “Teaching information technology (IT) for handicapped.” The project was sponsored by the US Catholic Relief Services (CRS).

A class for disabled people at  Văn Lang University
On January 8, 2008, Văn Lang University signed a cooperative agreement with CRS to carry out the Training IT for the Handicapped program.

The project is scheduled to last from January 2009 to June 2010.

In the framework of the project, the disabled trainees at Văn Lang University will be taught international-level lectures which were transferred from Carnegie Mellon University (CMU). All the lessons will be instructed by professors from CMU. Other long-term and short-term programs will be lectured by professors of Văn Lang University. In addition, technical consultants will assist them in adjusting and designing the programs.

The total capital for the project is US$ 450,070, of which US$ 247,070 was contributed by CRS and USAID.
