The Ministry of Finance (MoF) was instructed to work with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant agencies to finalize necessary procedures for the admission in line with domestic and international laws.

The State Treasury of Việt Nam was founded in 1990 under the management of the MoF. Over the past 20 years, the State Treasury has played an important role in managing State budget and financial funds as well as in mobilizing public capital for investment and development.

Under the PM’s Decision 138/2007/QĐ-TTg approving the strategy on development of the State Treasury by 2020, modern IT is being applied to treasury operations, towards the establishment of electronic treasury./.
