State President urges HN to exploit its millennium for development
VGP – Meeting leaders of Hà Nội on Thursday, State President Nguyễn Minh Triết urged the government of the capital city to make full use of the 1000th anniversary of Thăng Long-Hà Nội as a good opportunity for strong development in 2010 and the following years.
The State President
recognized great achievements gained by Hà Nội in numerous fields in recent
years, especially after the city was expanded in terms of administrative
boundaries.

President Triết asked Hà
Nội to seek for new chances and speed up its đổi mới cause, contributing to the country’s rapid and sustainable development.
Hà Nội should make full use
of its 1000th anniversary as a good opportunity to highlight its
proud traditions and history and create socio-economic development breakthroughs
in 2010 and the following years, stated the State President.
