State President receives RoK’s Defense Minister

VGP - State President Truong Tan Sang on May 28 received Republic of Korea (RoK) Minister of Defense Han Min-koo in Ha Noi.

Welcoming the Minister’s visit, the State President lauded the strategic partnership relations between the two sides, asserting that the two nations have shown mutual political trust since 2009 and the RoK has become top trade partner of Viet Nam.

Cultural similarities and more than 100,000 Vietnamese and Korean nationals living in each country have created a foundation for enhancing mutual understanding, friendship and cooperation. 
He appraised the talks held between the two Defense Ministers, suggesting the two sides implement signed cooperation agreements and new initiatives to deepen bilateral relations to make active contributions to the regional stability and development.

The RoK Minister proposed the two sides increase cooperation in the field of military industry and hailed the achievements in the two countries’ relationship in fields of economics, trade, national defense and people-to-people exchanges.
