State President receives RoK scholars

VGP – State President Truong Tan Sang hosted a reception to scholars from the Republic of Korea, who are in Viet Nam for the For RoK-Viet Nam Future Forum and the RoK-ASEAN Cooperation Forum.

Welcoming the guests, the State President affirmed that, over the past 20 years, Viet Nam and the RoK have established many effective cooperation mechanisms in order to boost their strategic partnership, contributing to the stability and development in the region and the world.

The host also highly appreciated the Korea Foundation’s efforts to the bilateral relationship in various fields, especially in personal training, people-to-people exchange, and scientific research.

Mr. Kim Woo Sang, President of the Foundation, emphasized that his organization will continue to assist the two countries’ intellectuals enhance mutual understanding.

He expressed his hope that the State President will further support scholars’ exchange and cooperation.

The For RoK-Viet Nam Future Forum and the RoK-ASEAN Cooperation Forum are jointly organized by the Korean Foundation and the Viet Nam Academy of Social Sciences on the occasion of the Viet Nam-RoK Friendship Year 2012 in Ha Noi.
