State President receives Brunei Minister

VGP - State President Truong Tan Sang on March 19 in Ha Noi welcomed Brunei Minister of Education cum Chairman of the Investment Agency Haji Apong, who is on a working visit to Viet Nam for the 47th Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Council Conference.

The host leader expressed wishes that the two countries would spur educational linkages and promote reciprocal exchanges at all levels to boost cooperation such areas as agriculture, energy, investment and trade.

He also pledged to create all favourable conditions for the Brunei side to go on fact-finding trips to Viet Nam cities and provinces.

For his part, Mr. Haji Apong said via the visit he wanted to realise bilateral commitments reached during Mr. Sang’s working visit to Brunei.

The guest leader also hoped that the Vietnamese Minister of Education will pay a visit to the country to discuss a cooperation plan./.
