State President meets Japanese Imperial Family

VGP – Viet Nam always attaches importance to the relations with Japan, affirmed State President Tran Dai Quang at a meeting with the Japanese Emperor and Empress in Tokyo on May 30 on the occasion of his State visit to Japan.

At the meeting, the State President expected that his State visit to Japan will open up new development phase in the Viet Nam-Japan ties more effectively and intensively, bringing benefits to their people and for regional and global peace, stability, cooperation and development.

On the occasion, the Vietnamese State leader invited members of the Japanese Imperial Family to visit Viet Nam in a proper time.

The Japanese royal couple expressed thanks to the State President for giving them warm welcome during their visit to Viet Nam in 2017, confirming that they treasure the Viet Nam-Japan cooperation and friendship and will do their utmost to further develop the ties. 

Japanese Emperor Akihito stressed the need to enhance cultural and people-to-people exchanges, particularly on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of diplomatic relations.
