As Viet Nam is carrying out economic restructuring and growth model transformation, State President Quang asked the JICA to strengthen support for the Southeast Asian country to boost human resource development for industries, reform State apparatus, and adapt to climate change among others.

The Vietnamese leader also took the occasion to extend thanks to Japan for offering official development assistance, which has fruitfully contributed to socioeconomic advancement in Viet Nam.

He also suggested Japan continue providing official development assistance for Viet Nam, focusing on mega infrastructure projects, workforce training, and realization of selected industries figured out in the Viet Nam’s Industrialization Strategy within the Viet Nam-Japan cooperation framework.

JICA President Kitaoka expressed his pleasure at the remarkable and practical development of the Viet Nam-Japan relations over the past 45 years.

The JICA pledged to spare no effort to contribute to further enhancing cooperation between the two countries./.
