The information was released at the Viet Nam-Belarus Economic Seminar, which was chaired by State President Tran Dai Quang and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko on June 27.

Speaking at the seminar, the Belarusian President hailed the dynamic development and maintenance of high growth rate of Viet Nam and Belarusian businesses’ plan to produce motored transport vehicles in Viet Nam.

Belarusian enterprises are willing to cooperate and share experience with the Vietnamese partners in the construction of underground projects and coordinate in producing milk, aquatic, tea and coffee products, oil, information technology, communications and tourism.

The Belarusian Government advocates the Vietnamese businesses to investing and launching operation in Belarus, he asserted, asking the two sides’ Chambers of Commerce and Industry to soon establish the Belarus-Viet Nam Joint Business Council.

State President Tran Dai Quang introduced Viet Nam’s economic potentials to Belarusian businesses, asserting that Viet Nam welcomes and expects to receive more investment capital from Belarus in such areas as automobile spare parts, mechanics and equipment.

Viet Nam encourages its domestic enterprises to seek for further cooperation and investment in Belarus in fields of information technology and agriculture, he added.

The event attracted the participation of more than 500 enterprises from the two nations.
