Addressing the event, State President Quang proposed APEC member economies strive for all Bogor goals on schedule in 2020 with a view to spurring regional trade.

Viet Nam, said Mr. Quang, welcomes the Roadmap on competitive capability in the service sector in  2016-2025 in consideration of different development levels of members. “APEC should contribute to consolidating multilateral trade system,” said State President Quang.

The speaker called on APEC  to catch up with new trends; take the initiative to regulate cooperative mechanisms and economic links at all layers, including the ASEAN Economic Community, the Trans-Pacific Partnership, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) towards the Free Trade Area of the Asia-Pacific (FTAAP).

The Vietnamese leader also recommended member economies to implement the new Agenda on structural reform, the strategy on quality growth, human resource development, and infrastructure.

Viet Nam promises to deploy the action plan on structure reform to remove post-border barriers; generate a favorable business environment; and raise the competitiveness of the economy.

The State President also noted the importance of supporting Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) especially their access to market, finance, technology, and participation into the global value and supply chains.

Viet Nam affirmed the State President backs green MSME initiatives and businesswomen./.
