Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation visits Ninh Binh

The Sri Lankan officials were on a working visit to Viet Nam.

Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her joy to welcome the delegation, and briefed her guests on the province’s geography, history, culture, and socio-economic situation.

Two countries share a lot of similarities, therefore, the two countries would enjoy future cooperation in fields of agriculture, aquaculture and tourism, she stressed.

She expressed her hope that the visit would lift the cooperative ties between Sri Lanka and Ninh Binh province to a new level.

On behalf of the delegation, Chairman Karu Jayasuriya thanked the host for the warm reception, and spoke highly of achievements made by Viet Nam in the recent time, especially in fields of agriculture, aquaculture and tourism.

Sri Lanka needs to learn more experience from Viet Nam in developing these above fields, he added.

Same day, the delegation visited Bai Dinh pagoda and Trang An eco-tourism site.
