Speaker of Australian House of Representatives to visit VN next week
VGP – Speaker of Australian House of Representatives Tony Smith will lead an Australian delegation to pay an official visit to Viet Nam from July 23-25 at the invitation of Chairwoman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.

The two-way trade turnover reached US$6.46 billion in 2017 and expected to hit US$10 billion in 2020.
Australia currently ranks 19th out of 116 foreign investors in Viet Nam with total investment of US$1.82 billion in 396 projects.
The two sides already inked the Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) and actively engage in negotiations on the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
In 2017, more than 370,400 Australian visitors travelled to Viet Nam, making it one of the 10 leading source markets of Viet Nam’s tourism.
Australia is the fourth most favorite destination of Vietnamese students with about 30,000 Vietnamese students.
