The Ambassador stressed that the parties concerned should focus on addressing socio-economic difficulties and ensuring security as their top priorities.

Mr. Minh confirmed that Việt Nam applauded efforts of the international community and the UN in supporting East Timor’s stabilization and development.

Việt Nam pledges to support the extension of the operation of the UN Integrated Mission in Timor-Leste (UNMIT) to continue deploying missions to aid East Timor in consolidating peace and carrying out a national reconstruction strategy, added the diplomat.
