The Singaporean leader made the statement at his meeting with PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng in Hà Nội on April 23.

Both countries are working on orientations for lifting up the bilateral ties to new heights.

Singaporean investors see Việt Nam as an attractive investment destination, said the guest, hoping that the Vietnamese Government would create favorable conditions for them to do long-term business here.

President Tony Tan Keng Yam reiterated that Singapore is determined to coordinate closely with Việt Nam and other ASEAN members to secure peace, stability and maritime freedom in the East Sea.

He voiced his country’s support for addressing maritime disputes through peaceful measures.
