Nearly 37,000 foreigners enter Viet Nam since March 7, says PM

Patient 142 is a 26-year old male student residing in Binh Chanh District, Ho Chi Minh City.

He left Texas, the US on March 8, transiting in Taiwan and landingin Ho Chi Minh city on March 10.

Since his return, he visited Binh Dan Hospital, US Consulate General, and met with officials in charge of residency registration of Tan Tuc Commune, Binh Chanh District.

He is being treated at Can Gio field hospital.

Patient 143 is a 58-year old woman from South Africa, living in Tan Son Nhi Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.

She returned to Viet Nam from Seattle, the US on March 21 after transiting in Taiwan.

On March 22, she got fever and shortness of breath and was taken to Cu Chi field hospital for quarantine and treatment.

Patient 144 is a 22-year old man residing in Ward 14, Phu Nhuan District, Ho Chi Minh City.

Upon his arrival to Viet Nam from the UK on March 22 on flight VN0050, he was taken to a centralized quarantine facility in Tra Vinh.

Patient 145 is a 34-year old man residing in Son Ky Ward, Tan Phu District, Ho Chi Minh City.

He flew from Ho Chi Minh City to Can Tho on March 22 and was sent to a centralized quarantine facility in the Mekong Delta city.

Patient 146 is a 17-year old adolescent residing in Nghi Thiet Commune, Nghi Loc District, Nghe An Province.

She flew from Thailand to Viet Nam on March 20. Earlier she had been in close contact with a previously announced COVID-19 patient in the central city of Da Nang.

She is being treated at Cau Treo General Hospital in Ha Tinh Province.

Patient 147 is a 19-year old male student residing in Cau Giay District, Ha Noi. He landed in Viet Nam on March 21 on flight VN0054 from the UK.

He is being treated at the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Ha Noi’s Dong Anh District.

Patient 148 is a 58-year old French touristl who arrived in Viet Nam on March 12 on fligh VN0018. He travelled to several places in Ha Noi between March 12-19.

 He had his sample tested and was instructed to isolate himself at place of residence on March 19.

He was taken to the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Dong Anh District for treatment on March 24.

Of the total COVID-19 infection cases confirmed so far, 17 people have recovered and exited hospitals. The current patients include 33 foreign nationals and two frontline doctors./.
