Second International Festival of Experimental Theater to be held in December 2006 in Hanoi

VNGOVNet – PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed on November 24 with the Vietnam Association of Theatrical Artists (VATA) about holding the Second International Festival of Experimental Theater in December 2006 in Hanoi.

November 28, 2006 6:05 AM GMT+7

The PM allowed the VATA to spend VND1.9 billion from the professional career budget to organize the Festival in conformity with the current laws. The VATA should closely collaborate with the relevant agencies in doing all necessary preparations for the Festival.

The Second International Festival of Experimental Theater to be hosted by Vietnam is scheduled for December 12-16 in Hanoi. The festival is attended by ten delegations from different continents and Asian-Pacific Region, including South Korea, China, Japan, the UK, Australia, France, Germany, and the USA. This is a chance for Vietnam to introduce the original values of its traditional theatrical art to international friends. During the festival, Vietnamese artists can exchange, learn from and share achievements of the world’s theater in order to build up an advanced theatrical art imbued with national identities.
