PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc who has returned home from annual meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland attended the event.

The 48km road is designed to have four lanes and maximum speed of 80k per hour.

The project includes two sub-components, namely Hung Ha bridge and two approach roads with total length of over 4km. Total investment capital of the two sub-components was nearly VND 3 trillion, of which VND 2.5 trillion sourced from the Republic of Korea’s Economic Development Co-operation Fund and the rest from the Vietnamese Government.

Speaking at the event, PM Phuc asserted that the project will help reduce travel time and costs from northeastern localities to central and southern regions.

It  will enhance the transport capacity of the two national highways and stimulate the socio-economic development of the Red River Delta region while contributing to easing traffic pressure on highways No.1 and No.5 as well as in Ha Noi.

The PM also spoke highly of the efforts made by investors, contractors and other relevant agencies in completing the project six months ahead of schedule./.
