RoK’s battleships dock at Tien Sa Port

VGP - Kang Gam Chan and Hwacheon, the two warships of the Republic of Korea Navy, docked at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang city, starting a four-day friendly visit to Viet Nam.

The friendly visit was led by Commander-in-chief Yang Yong Mo and included 633 military officers and crew members.

In Da Nang, Commander-in-chief Yang Yong Mo and the crew members will pay a courtesy visit to leaders of the Da Nang People’s Committee, the Naval Region 3, and the 5th Military Region of the Viet Nam People’s Army.

The Korean visitors will visit the Da Nang charitable center and support children there; join a sports exchange with Vietnamese soldiers from the Naval Region 3; partake in musical performances; and tour local beautiful landscapes.

On this occasion, the Korean visitors brought 11,000 Korean language teaching books sponsored by Changwon city of Korea, a twin city of Da Nang to present to the Da Nang General Library  and the University of Foreign Language Studies in favor of Korean language lovers.

Commander-in-chief Yang Yong Mo said that the meaningful activity aimed to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and the RoK and promote cooperation between the two twin cities./.
