RoK re-signs MoU to receive more Vietnamese workers

VGP – As many as 2,900 Vietnamese workers will be sent to the Republic of Korea (RoK) to work in fieds of manufacturing, construction and agriculture.

The Vietnamese Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the RoK’s Minister of Employment and Labor re-signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on reception of Vietnamese laborers to the RoK’s Employment Permit System (EPS) program, the Department of Guest Worker Management said on April 15.

The re-inked MoU reflects efforts of Viet Nam in reducing the number of illegal Vietnamese workers in the RoK.

The previous MoU expired on December 31, 2014.
