RoK film festival to be held in Quang Nam

VGP – A festival featuring films from the Republic of Korea (RoK) will be held in the central province of Quang Nam from December 11 – 17 to mark the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).

December 15, 2017 4:13 PM GMT+7

Director of the provincial Department of Information and Communications Pham Hong Quang said the event marks 25 years of Viet Nam – RoK diplomatic ties (December 12, 1992 - December 12, 2017) as well as the ASEAN – RoK cultural exchange year 2017.

It will help increase mutual understanding and cooperation between Quang Nam and RoK localities across diplomacy, culture, economy, tourism, and education, he added.

Films on the Korean land and people are screened free of charge at the Quang Nam culture centre in Tam Ky city between 4pm and 9pm.

Alongside the festival, there will also be a series of events, including a student cultural exchange and community event at the murals village of Tam Thanh, 7km from Tam Ky city.

Korean businesses that have made big contributions to the province over the past 20 years will be honoured and a joint cultural performance will feature Korean arts troupes and Vietnamese artists.
