RoK, HCMC promote people-to-people exchange

At the reception, Mr. Lee Si-hyung laid stress on the importance of people-to-people diplomacy via cultural exchange activities, expecting that it will further develop in the future.

Lee is leading a delegation to attend the Ho Chi Minh City-Gyeongju World Cultural Festival 2017, which takes place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 11 to December 3.

In turn, Standing Vice Secretary of the municipal Party Committee Tat Thanh Cang noted that both sides share numerous cultural similarities and through exchange activities, people of both sides will have chances to grasp standout cultural features of each nation.

The Vietnamese southern hub has learnt the RoK’sexperience in management and construction of smart urban areas, he said, expressing his hope that the RoK will support Ho Chi Minh City in building new style rural areas, applying high technology in production, improving capacity for farmers and developing agricultural cooperatives.
