At the signing ceremony, Governor of Gyeongsangbuk Kim Kwan-yong expressed his belief that the two localities will have many new opportunities for sustainable development in the future, thereby strengthening ties between the two nations. 

Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong said the 23-day Ho Chi Minh City -Geyeongju World Cultural Expo 2017 attracted more than 12,000 Korean visitors with music performances, cultural and trade promotion activities, boosting relations between the two peoples on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic ties. 

The move will facilitate ties across economy, culture and education between the two localities, believing that authorities of Gyeongsangbuk will issue policies to encourage local firms to invest in the city, Mr. Phong added.
