The Government has recently issued a new decree to replace Decree 182/2013/ND-CP, dated November 14, 2013 on monthly minimum wage for employees.

The minimum wage will be applied for four different regions in Việt Nam as follows Region I: VND 3.1 million (US$ 147); Region II: VND 2.75 million (US$ 130); Region III: VND 2.4million (US$ 114) and Region IV: VND 2.15 million (US$102).

The new regional monthly minimum wage would be higher than the current ones from VND 250,000-400,000 per month.

The decree also stipulates that employers are not allowed to cut or abolish wage regulations when their employees do extra jobs, night-shift and hard and harmful work.

All allowances, subsidies, and bonus must be implemented in accordance with labor contracts or regulations of the enterprises./.
