Rank of Ambassador bestowed upon diplomats

VGP – Authorised by Party General Secretary and President Nguyen Phu Trong, Vice President Dang Thi Ngoc Thinh in Ha Noi on February 19 presented decisions granting the rank of Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to 14 diplomats.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President Thinh emphasised that the rank of Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam is the noblest diplomatic rank of the Party and State, recognising diplomats’ contributions to national development and protection in general and external affairs in particular while showing the Party, State and people’s trust in and support for the ambassadors.

The Vice President stated that in addition to advantages, Viet Nam is facing remarkable challenges and difficulties, while the world and regional situation is transforming in a complicated and unpredictable fashion.

She asked the ambassadors to continue doing their best to fulfill assigned tasks, particularly helping to maintain peace and stable environment and capitalise on favourable conditions and external resources to boost national development./.
