Rammasun causes 11 deaths, two missing
VGP – At least 11 people were killed and two missing after storm Rammasun swept through northern mountainous provinces last weekend, according to the National Committee for Search and Rescue.

Lang Son province reported five deaths, Lao Cai province with three, and Bac Kan, Cao Bang and Lai Chau provinces, with one each and two missing ones in Son La and Lai Chau.
Initial statistics from the National Steering Committee on Flood and Storm Prevention and Control showed the storm had blown roofs off 164 houses and destroyed 358 others.
Lang Son Province was seriously affected by the storm, which submerged 5,800 houses in the locality.
Quang Ninh and Son La suffered serious economic damage caused by the tropical typhoon, the second of its kind hitting Viet Nam this year, with each estimating losses of VND2 billion (US$95,200).
The strongest typhoon to hit southern China in four decades has killed at least 16 people in the region after leaving scores dead in the Philippines.
Strong winds and rain from Super Typhoon Rammasun hit dozens of southern coastal cities in the provinces of Guangdong and Hainan and the region of Guangxi, affecting more than 3 million people, the Chinese state news agency Xinhua reported Saturday.
Rammasun struck the Philippines earlier in the week, killing at least 94 people and displacing more than half a million, according to the country's National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
