Quintessence of Vietnamese crafts

VGP - The 10th Craft Village Trade Fair (CraftViet 2014) has attracted over 200 businesses and establishments to display their traditional handicraft and fine art items.

With over 300 stalls, handicraft items including ceramics, rattan, brocades and silks, dried flowers, marbles sculptures, gold and silver jewellery are on the display at the fair which is due to close on September 15.

Visitors have also a chance to taste specialties from three regions across the nation at the Vietnamese cuisine space.

The event is an opportunity to promote the trademarks and products of Vietnamese traditional crafts, and encourage artisans’ creativeness while connecting consumers and producers, said Mr. Dao Van Ho, Director of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development’s Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre.

Viet Nam is home to 3,350 craft villages with diverse products./.
