Quang Ninh resumes intra-provincial tourism activities

The Standing Board of the provincial Party Committee requested travel businesses and tourist sites to develop procedures to pick up and serve visitors in accordance with the province’s new pandemic safety requirements, as well as to strictly comply with the Ministry of Health’s 5K message and disease prevention measures in the new normal.

Ha Long City should maintain close control of tourism activities on Ha Long Bay, the board said, asking the localities and units concerned to keep a close eye on destinations, especially the venues of spiritual activities, to avoid mass gatherings.

Quang Ninh will continue to apply appropriate measures to strictly control people departing for and returning from pandemic-hit areas nationwide, particularly the neighboring areas, in order to ensure pandemic safety and maintain local stability, contributing to the country’s COVID-19 prevention and control efforts.

Some localities, including Ha Long, Uong Bi, Dong Trieu, Cam Pha and Quang Yen, are allowed to proactively take appropriate and necessary measures to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in the pandemic fight in the new situation.

The Van Don International Airport is set to resume operations from March 3. Quang Ninh is urgently building new COVID-19 prevention and control processes to ensure safety for the airport, airport staff and the community.

Regarding the resumption of socio-economic activities, including those related to conditional business services such as karaoke, bar, and disco, Quang Ninh has assigned the Provincial Police to research and propose resumption plans to the provincial People’s Committee. Localities consider, take responsibility for and decide on the reopening of these services.

In addition, the local authorities of Ha Noi also have allowed coffee shops  and indoor eateries to re-open from March 2 with regulations on safe distancing measures being  mandatory and take-way and food delivery encouraged.

Earlier, over 2 million learners in Ha Noi were allowed to go back to school on March 2, after an extended one-month Tet break and online classes due to Covid-19.

University student schedules would be determined by the universities themselves, though the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control recommended they reopen from March 15 to ensure social distancing measures./.
