The project is invested by the province’s Department of Industry and Trade, using money from the Government’s fund and some Spanish non-governmental organizations.

This is one of significant poverty reducing projects which are expected to improve local people’s livelihood.

Within Quảng Bình, there remain ten communes not provided with electric power from the national grid or from small-scale hydro power facilities.

Over the past year, the province has realized many policies to expand the electricity coverage, so as to promote the socio-economic development.

Last year, seven solar-energy electric stations were installed in two communes - Tân Trạch and Thượng Trạch, reaching the capacity of 1,766 Wp.
