Addressing the conference, Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Chairman of the National Committee for AIDS, Drug and Prostitution Prevention and Fight, asked ministries, sectors and localities nationwide to well implement the Party’s instructions and the State’s policies on AIDS, drug and prostitution prevention and fight.

The National Committee, its members and relevant agencies should jointly popularize good models relating to AIDS, drug and prostitution prevention and fight, said Mr. Phuc.

The Deputy PM said relevant ministries and sectors should consider proposals relating to AIDS, drug and prostitution prevention and fight, including the application of methadone-based therapy to drug addicts, and the use of Cedemex to assist drug detoxification.
