Project launched to facilitate job generation and skills development

VGP – The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), Việt Nam Office of the International Labor Organization, and the European Union Mission jointly chaired the launching ceremony of the project on improving supportive information for job generation and skills development in Việt Nam.

The 11.7 million project will be carried out in 15 provinces and cities through out the countries until 2010.
The project aimed at improving plan-making capacity for developing human resources through improving information about local labor markets and vocational skills; raising qualifications of vocational teachers.
It also supports related researches on demand for skilled labor force and vocational skills in official and non-official economic sectors.
Addressing the cerermony, MOLISA Minister Nguyễn Thị Kim Ngân stated that the development of human resources in Việt Nam is challenged by some difficulties. However, she expected that the Project will help to connect the supply and demand of the labor market, enhance skills development and create more jobs.
