Project “Vietnam Competition Initiative” adopted

VNGOVNet – On November 30, on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed in principle the document of the Project “Vietnam Competition Initiative" (VNCI) funded by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) with a nonrefundable aid of US$ 5,640,000.

The Deputy PM requested the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) to promptly collaborate with the relevant ministries and agencies in strengthening the membership of the project management board, especially persons in charge. The MPI was also assigned to closely cooperate with the USAID to draw up an action plan according to the projects targets with a focus on ways to improve small and medium enterprises' export competitiveness. The MPI shall be responsible for reporting to the PM on the project’s implementation in June 2007.
